WHY A NETWORK
By using common datasets, input schemas, workflows, standards, and output diagnostics, C-SON enables more consistent modeling and accounting across sites and regions. This supports comparison across locations while preserving the ability to represent local ocean conditions.
C-SON provides access to existing validated domains and a pathway to build new domains for additional regions. As the network grows, methods and improvements can be shared across domains rather than recreated for each project.

Explore our active and in-development domains. Each domain is a high-resolution regional model built with the C-Star modeling stack and adhering to the C-SON standard. Scientific validation of domains is performed in partnership with academic institutions and field experts across the globe.
